This Way Up!

As youths reach the secondary crossroads of their lives, they need to find the right directions to lead them to doing well in school, to being able to balance work, home and play, and even to finding out just what they are about.

Teenagers will experience new methods of tackling school subjects and uncover more effective and creative ways to make learning fun. They will also discover how to turn their current passions into future possibilities; and most of all, find the map to flying high in their chosen sky.

Hinged on the twin philosophy that life should be passion led and purpose driven, this program helps participants:

  •     Become aware of the purpose behind their studying.
  •     Become aware of their innate learning styles, inclinations and blindspots for a better learning journey.
  •     Renewing individuals who may have lost heart and sight of the journey and goal.
  •     Gaining a renewed sense of self and purpose.

This program has three core components:

1. Accelerated Learning Techniques

This component equips youths with the knowledge of their individual learner type, and provides them with essential study tools and techniques to make learning easier and more effective. It includes memory techniques, note-making, creative and critical thinking, and examination strategies.

2. Path Finder

In Path Finders, youths will learn about the powerful beliefs and goals they need to adopt and learn ways to break old patterns. They will come to examine their own place in this world and through that discover their purpose and passions in life, aligning them for powerful results. One of the features of this segment is the use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which is a psychological profiling tool.

3. Self- Awareness

It is our vision to help nurture engaged youths; those who are aware of who they are and where they belong. We speak of character- who we are when no one is watching; and conviction- who we are when the world is watching. A critical component of this segment is that participants learn to appreciate the people who matter most to them: their family, teachers, and friends.
